President, Third Wave Business Systems
Byron Thompson serves as President of Third Wave Business Systems, an Evergreen portfolio company. He was previously a private equity investor focused on partnering with growth stage healthcare services and technology business. Prior to that, Byron worked in investment banking where he worked on M&A advisory engagements for clients in the technology, media, and telecommunications sectors. Byron earned a bachelor’s degree from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia where he was a Holland and Echols scholar. He also completed his MBA at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business where he was a Teaching Assistant and case author for the course Entrepreneurship Through Acquisition.
