Before launching Orion Group in 2020, Will was a founding partner with Alpine Investors and spent two decades leading its portfolio operations and building its playbook for building teams and growing businesses. Over the years, Will has led many of Alpine’s successful investments including Comlinkdata, Healthcomp, Perennial Technologies, Lightwave Dental, and Constellation Behavioral Health, to name a few. As a CEO, Will led the turnaround and eventual sale of Great Falls Marketing, an investment in Alpine’s first fund. Prior to Alpine, Will gained early experience in industrial sales at the Portman Equipment Company, brand marketing and national account sales roles at the Clorox Company, and management consulting with Mitchell Madison Group. His favorite businesses remain the landscaping, house painting and garbage collection businesses that he started and ran during his high school and college years.
Will holds an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, and earned his Bachelor of Arts in history from Colgate University, where he was a member of the soccer team.
